The small heart, the large heart and the lettering is red. Under Betty, draw a heart and draw the outline of a heart around Betty with an accent line. Under one hand write Betty and under the dog write Boop. On her other side, draw a small, large eared puppy. Continue the lines of the arm and hand on one side. Then add her second leg, slightly behind the first. Next, draw her bent leg so it appears crossed over in front of her and a heeled shoe. Create the curved top of her dress by drawing the top section of a heart. From the pit of that arm, draw the curve of her body, leading to her hip. Directly below her face, draw her shoulders. Next, add looped earrings on either side by the bottom curl. Above each eye, draw exaggerated angled brows. The lips should extend off the face slightly.

Beneath her nose, draw small lips that are full and dark. Next create her nose by drawing a very small curved line slightly below the center point between her eyes. Around the eye, add small lines for her lashes. On the opposite side of the eye, add an accent mark. Inside these circles, shade in small half circle areas so it appears she is looking to the side. Next draw the other half of her part and the front curved line of her hair. In the center of her head draw her part and extend the curved line down to her cheek finishing off with an upturned curl. Begin by drawing an apple shape for her head.

#BETTY BOOP DRAWING TV#
Either way I love Betty and I know my mom grew up watching reruns of her on TV and vhs. At the end of each “doop” she would give a little hiccup sound to create more of a seductive sound. One of Betty’s famous four words that stuck with folks around the world is “boop-oop-a-doop”. Even though Betty evolved into a human woman, her boyfriend remained a canine which was Bimbo. She was also the first female cartoon character that had no need for a man. Betty Boop has unique character appeals like her distinguishable baby face, her little-girl voice, the way she holds an independent attitude and yet still manages to keep up her womanly charms. By this time she traded her floppy ears for hoped earrings and became the first female animated star that gained popularity almost instantly. As time went on Betty Boop became more of a normal looking woman and continued her career in the Fleischer "Talkartoon" series. Now, the reason why she was first developed as a canine was because so she can play opposite Bimbo, who was a diminutive dog who had been the Fleischer Studios' answer to Mickey Mouse before Betty came along and joined the crew. I know what you’re thinking “a canine?” The answer is yeah, a canine. This fun animated character made her animated film debut as a curvaceous canine cabaret singer in the short "Dizzy Dishes”. Anyways let’s get back to talking about Betty. They both resemble each other and I once told my mother that she should get a tattoo of Betty Boop right on her hip just to say "I’m sexy".

Both of them look great in black or red and have fun personalities. Like my mom Betty has black curly hair and big brown eyes. This explains the reason why my mom reminds me of Betty. Betty Boop is a lovely, charming, innocent, loving character that has been around since the thirties. Today I will teach you how to draw Betty Boop. First off let me tell you who you will be drawing. I say that because this next character that I am going to show you how to draw resembles my mom in a lot of ways.

For this last tutorial of the night, I wanted to share with you a character that reminds me of my dear old mother.
